About Us

Syringa Housing Corporation (SHC) is an Idaho charitable organization whose goal is to preserve and support affordable housing, particularly that housing that has rent subsidies available.  SHC has provided housing and services to persons of extremely low-income status and persons with disabilities since 2012.  The Board of Syringa Housing Corporation includes social service professionals and volunteers who are committed to addressing homelessness and persons who have been previously homeless, as well as persons with disabilities.  Board members have served in various capacities in other social service organizations including Supportive Housing and Innovative Partnerships, an organization that provides clean and sober transitional housing, and housing for homeless veterans. Board members include Masters of Social Work professionals and persons currently engaged in providing services to low income, disabled, homeless, and other special needs households.
